Terms of Service

Last updated: May 2026

1. Agreement

By creating an account or using Leethack (“the Service”, “the Platform”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

These terms apply to all users. Questions? Email support@leethack.io.

2. What Leethack is

Leethack is a secure-coding training platform. You receive vulnerable code snippets derived from real CVEs, write patches or exploits, and submit them against an automated test suite. XP is awarded for accepted solutions.

The Platform is provided for educational and professional development purposes only. The knowledge gained is intended to improve software security, not to attack systems you do not own or have explicit permission to test.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use Leethack. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide during sign-in is accurate.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the code execution sandbox to run malware, cryptocurrency miners, network scanners, or any code designed to harm third-party systems.
  • Attempt to break out of the sandbox, access other users’ data, or interfere with the platform infrastructure.
  • Automate submissions at a rate that constitutes abuse (our rate limiter enforces reasonable limits per account).
  • Scrape challenge content, test harnesses, or user data without written permission.
  • Share challenge solutions publicly in a way that undermines other users’ learning experience.
  • Use the Platform to facilitate real-world attacks on systems you do not own or have explicit authorisation to test.

Violations may result in immediate account suspension without refund of any paid subscription.

5. Accounts

Your account is personal and non-transferable. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your OAuth credentials. Notify us immediately at support@leethack.io if you suspect unauthorised access.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without prior notice at our discretion.

6. Code submissions

Code you submit remains yours. You grant Leethack a limited, non-exclusive licence to execute your code in our sandbox for the purpose of running the test suite. We do not claim ownership of your code, publish it publicly, or share it with third parties beyond what is necessary to operate the execution infrastructure.

Submission history is retained to support your progress dashboard. You may request deletion of your submissions by deleting your account.

7. XP, scores, and leaderboards

XP and streak counts are provided for motivational purposes only. They have no monetary value and are not redeemable or transferable. We reserve the right to correct XP balances if errors are discovered, adjust scoring algorithms, or reset leaderboards at any time.

8. Intellectual property

Challenge content, problem descriptions, test harnesses, platform design, and all associated materials are owned by Leethack or licensed to us. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute them without written permission.

CVE identifiers and vulnerability descriptions are in the public domain. Our specific implementations, scenarios, and test cases are proprietary.

9. Paid plans (when introduced)

The Platform is currently free. When paid plans are offered, subscription fees will be charged in advance, and refunds will be governed by the refund policy published at that time. We will provide at least 30 days’ notice before any free feature becomes paid-only.

10. Disclaimers and liability

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that challenge content is free of inaccuracies.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Leethack shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of XP, or business interruption.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the Platform evolves. Material changes will be communicated via email at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first, then binding arbitration if necessary.
